“ Up There” is a new series that I’m excited about. I love clouds and painting them has been very freeing. Whether Sicilian Storm Clouds with their brooding and temperamental colours, or tropical and romantic clouds, or even those found in the Pacific Northwest, clouds are always changing form and colours, inviting the viewers from below, on earth, to look up and let their minds wander. Who hasn't formed shapes with their mind’s eye, or been mesmerized by morning or evening colours, or watched a storm approaching with squalls of rain? Looking ‘up there’ gives us a respite from the day to day and allows us to dream, even for a little bit!
